San Antonio Pollen Levels

On days with a low pollen count, San Antonio has plenty of outdoor activities, like barbecuing at Brackenbridge Park or hiking through forests and canyons at Friedrich Wilderness Park, to help you feel refreshed and inspired. If pollen counts are high, pack Kleenex® On-the-Go tissues, so you can stay prepared for allergies, wherever you are.

In February, March and April, it can feel like there's more pollen in the air than traffic on the McAllister Freeway. Thankfully, pollen counts drop dramatically in May and stay relatively low through the rest of the year. This is the case even during September and October, when pollen from weeds raises the pollen count a bit. And this means that you can get out there and explore El Mercado or River Walk allergy-free throughout most of the year. If you want to keep seasonal allergies at bay during months with a high pollen count, though, you might want to steer clear of parks and grassy areas. Read ahead for a few ways to avoid pollen during allergy season and discover what River City has to offer.

San Antonio Monthly Calendar
